diaper rash, scratchy butt, uncertainty, and diapalogue
Stay at home dad day. I was able to submit my post-doc proposal the other day, on time and I've been getting some research done. Tilda's diaper rash seems maybe a little worse. We now switched to the old stand-by desitin, the original butt-cream. At least its what I remember from being a kid myself, although I'm not quite sure why I remember desitin? But, Tilda was grumpier than usual through the night and slept a little more erratically than she had been. I suppose if my butt was scratchy I might not sleep as well either. Though I can't say how uncomfortable she really is. I think this is part of the struggle, particularly for new parents as we are, is the uncertainty about either the problem or the solution. We are learning though and she is really chatty during diaper changing time, smiles all around. Diapalogue (http://babyyearone.blogspot.com/p/more-words.html) is what I like to call it, dialogue with the newborn during diaper changes.
