removes, curling, rasberries, and paralysis

Sleep interrupted by diaper changings, followed by unix command line operations, are not necessarily a good combination.  rm is permanent, there is no undo.  So I am back in the research mode, my wife is home with Tilda, and I'm trying to code up some stuff and did an inadvertant 'remove' of a file.  It would be easy to blame the newborn and the disrupted sleep patterns but there's no time for that, what's done is done.  I think the bigger distraction is having been sucked into the world of curling and I can't help but wonder what's happening up there in Beautiful BC today.  It's early yet.  I believe Tilda did her first rasberry this morning.  At first, I thought it might be a little toot, but my wife said no as she was holding her.  First rasberry and only three weeks old, ah, this is that parent pride they all talk about.  She could be a fine curler someday.  On the research front, I was able to assemble a first draft of a postdoctoral proposal and sent it out to my advisor and potential advisor for comments.  Now, I'm focusing on the third and final chapter of my dissertation and things are going well.  I'm starting to see through the clouds of data to something that makes sense.  I've not yet begun to write this chapter, as I don't think I'm there yet.  I've not yet, as my advisor calls it, achieved data analysis paralysis.
