laughter, chimps, and evolution
Before I get to ahead of myself, Tilda doesn't sleep through the night every night, but her feedings and diaper changes have decreased from what they were. She is on the verge of laughter, her smiles are growing in size and warmth and there are occasionally sounds associated with them. Tilda's mom and me were up late the other night watching a show on chimps. I'm getting my PhD in the earth sciences and spent some time in my masters doing paleontological work, so I have no problem with evolution, big fan really. I do not understand how people have trouble with the idea that us and the chimps are related. Forget about the religion and the rest of it, we are clearly very similar animals, family and all. Anyway, we're PhD students with a nearly 3month old, so we should not have time to be watching television anyway, but we were being naughty young parents. One more child raised to know and understand evolution.
