earth day, the sun, baby's earth day, and baby carriers

Happy Earth day.  Despite all the earthly volcanic activity out there, NASA seems to have gone solar for Earth Day (http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=43717), but the solar plasma eruption does put the size of our Earth into perspective.  Though this other NASA image of the day (http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_1645.html) does give us an amazing view of Earthly convection.  See the prior two posts for Iceland volcano images.

Well, it is Tilda's first Earth day and a local baby store will be celebrating.  So we'll stop by later after a day of Earth research.  We planted some vegetable seeds (corn and hot peppers) the other day, hoping to be able to get something to grow at our arid southwestern-US home.  That's when I pinched a nerve in my lower back, though I'm not convinced it is completely unrelated to carrying a nearly 3 month old (who is in the 90th -percentile of size for her age - according to the pediatrician peoples).  These carrying devices are indispensable though; the baby bjorns, the moby wraps.  Whatever variety you may have or need, the weight distribution is necessary.  I typically use an older bjorn borg but I see the newer ones have lumbar support and I envy owners of them, but all the same, they help quite a bit.
