back to blogging, international relocation(?), and immunizations

I haven't posted a blog or even been on my blog in a couple weeks now.  Tilda hasn't pooped on me in a couple weeks either.  We've been real busy and then had some friends and family in town.  It is nice to have other people in your house that want to hold your baby all of the time.  It's a nice break when my wife and I can eat a meal together while Tilda is entertaining our guests.  Anyway, research is under way, I've been making some real good progress.  Tilda has begun her days at the university with her parents, not everyday of the week yet, but a couple of days is all it will take to give us each up to three or four days at the U. per week and that makes a huge difference.  I've been furiously applying for postdocs and I'm contemplating international relocation for one such possibility.  What would it be like to relocate with a less than one year old to a country where her parents do not speak the language?  That is a  frightening and exciting thought.  I'm sure pooh transcends geographical and political borders.  Tilda got her first immunization shots last week and that was brutal.  I held her hands, or she held mine, not sure which, but she screamed, her mom cried, and my heart broke a little.
